The Office of Student Affairs serves to complement the academic mission of the university by promoting a sense of community and responsibility in a student-centered learning environment. The most visible component of this task is the provision of events and services to the student population, including the promotion of athletic, cultural, and co-curricular events both on campus and of campus.
These activities are typically offered indirectly through the supervision given to the Student Life Organization, a group that is sponsored by the university and directed by the Dean of Students.
